APPLICATION:  HYDROCHLORIC ACID

  Pumping hydrochloric acid.

  PROBLEM:
Using a reciprocating diaphragm pump creates a turbulent product flow which causes excess vapors and product aeration.

  SOLUTION:
Installing a BLACOH surge dampener on the discharge port of the pump creates a smooth, even and consistent flow similar to that of a centrifugal pump.

  RESULT:
The use of a BLACOH dampener helped eliminate excessive vapors in the storage tanks during transfer of acid from tank to tank and also eliminated pipe vibration on the long runs of discharge pipe to the top of the tanks.
